Randall Wright, MD
Randall Wright, MD is a board-certified neurologist with expertise in clinical neurophysiology, including sleep medicine, electroencephalography, electromyography, evoked potential testing and intra-operative monitoring. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
After receiving his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, Randall Wright, MD completed his internship at Louisiana State University/University Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. He completed his residency in neurology and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he received several prestigious honors recognizing his outstanding academic performance.
Randall Wright, MD entered private practice and been involved with direct patient care since. During his practice, he has served as medical director of a Stroke Rehabilitation Unit and medical director of a Neurovascular Stroke Center. Dr. Wright has lectured widely, published numerous articles, and is the contributing author of chapters on radiculopathies and myelopathies in the third, fourth, and fifth editions of Neurology Secrets. He is the lead author of The Wright Choice: Your Family’s Prescription for Healthy Living, Modern Fitness, and Saving Money.
He has been a member of the board of directors and chairman of the Stroke Committee for the American Heart Association (AHA) Southwest Affiliate, and a member of the National Stroke Advisory Council for the AHA. He was a 2009-2010 Leadership Houston participant and the 2011 winner of the Frist Humanitarian Award at Conroe Regional Medical Center.
His special interests include dementia, epilepsy, fibromyalgia, and headache.
