Dr. Patricia Dearman
Dr. Patricia Dearman is an experienced psychotherapist who specializes in treating generalized anxiety disorders, health anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, trauma, and phobias. She also provides guidance to individuals who feel stagnant, indecisive or lost in their lives, relationships or careers. She combines evidence-based treatment methods with compassionate support. Her goals are to help individuals identify their strengths and gain life-long strategies for happier, healthier and fulfilling lives.
Dr. Dearman earned her PhD in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master’s Degree with a concentration in mental health from the University of Houston. She completed her advanced internship and employment at Baylor Psychiatry Clinic. Dr. Dearman trained in Neurofeedback at Brain Science International and in Quantitative Electroencephalography in Boston, MA. Her treatment methods are guided by the latest developments in neuroscience, and she employs a wide range of techniques and strategies to move individuals toward their goals. Approaches include, but are not limited to, cognitive and behavioral strategies, mindfulness practices, meditation coaching, brain training and other science-based methods to gain control of and calm the nervous system.
